DECA ICDC: Know Before You Go

We can't wait to welcome over 23,000 DECA members, advisors and partners to the International Career Development Conference in Anaheim, CA on April 27-30, 2024. Read this helpful guide on what to know before you go to Anaheim!

Registration

You’ll register with your chartered association advisor at your hotel. There’s no need to register at the Anaheim Convention Center. However, DECA attraction tickets will be available for pickup and the Shop DECA Pop-Up Shop and Blazer Booth will be open at the Anaheim Convention Center.

Grand Opening Session

There are two Grand Opening Sessions this year! Both will feature the same highlights including the annual parade of associations, Top 10 chapters, keynote speaker and Jabbawockeez.

If your chapter is in the North Atlantic Region or Southern Region, you’ll attend the 7:00 pm session.
If your chapter is in the Central Region or Western Region, you’ll attend the 9:30 pm session.

All attendees must show the official conference name badge, which will include a color bar corresponding to your session time.

If you’re looking to network, we encourage you to do that on the Grand Plaza, outside of the Anaheim Convention Center, between the Anaheim Marriott and Hilton Anaheim. A DJ will spin from 5 pm to 10 pm on Saturday, and food trucks will be available from 5 pm to 11 pm if attendees wish to grab dinner on their own. Absolutely no loitering will be allowed in the foyer of Hall D.

Getting Around Anaheim

All DECA ICDC attendees will have access to ART Transportation starting Saturday morning until Tuesday evening, even beyond the DECA conference transportation. When riding ART, DECA attendees must show their DECA wristband (the color matches the route on page 45 of the program). Attendees who are not at a hotel with a DECA conference transportation route will receive a white wristband with the DECA logo. You will receive these wristbands from your chartered association advisor at your hotel. Whether you are going to the Anaheim Convention Center or another ART stop, the wristbands serve as your ART pass. For the DECA transportation on page 45 in the program, the ART buses will have “SPECIAL” on the head sign of the bus, and attendees still must show their DECA wristband. The ART “pass” does not apply to EVE or FRAN service.

Food Trucks

Looking for food options on the Anaheim Convention Center Campus? Look no further than the Grand Plaza, steps away from the Anaheim Convention Center, Anaheim Marriott and Hilton Anaheim, with over 14 different food trucks to choose from. The food trucks will take both credit/debit cards and cash.

(P.S. there are also food options in Hall B in the back of the exhibit hall on Sunday and Monday, in the Anaheim Marriott (a pizza spot), and in the Hilton Anaheim (a mini food court).

Attraction Tickets

Most attraction tickets are sold out. However, there is still time to get a ticket to DECA Night at Universal Studios Hollywood, and limited transportation seats remain for purchase. Be sure to place your order by Thursday, April 18 to guarantee your spot while quantities remain.
