DECA Month is right around the corner. With an activity every day, there is ample opportunity for any member to get involved. It’s the perfect time to show your passion and introduce many communities to the world of DECA. Here are some ways to have the best DECA month.
It’s Your Story
Everyone’s story and ideas are unique, and we want you to share them. Take what you’ve seen as a member and show it to people worldwide. Others can learn and build off your experience. Sharing will highlight your voice and empower people to get involved, potentially encouraging a new member to join!
Include Everyone
Many of the month’s activities allow you to work with other chapter members. As an organization that focuses on community, we want to ensure anyone feels welcome. Include new members looking to be involved with your chapter and allow them to learn more about DECA. Get your friends who may not be members to do the challenges with you and create a fun activity for everyone. You can even work with friends who may be members of another school to create a cool collaboration post!
HAVE FUN
The most essential component to having a successful DECA Month is having fun! Participate in social media trends and add a sprinkle of DECA fun. Bring your members together at a football game and throw up diamonds for a fun post. Have a spirit day where everyone wears their favorite DECA merch. There are so many ways to engage an audience by simply having fun. All you have to do is get a phone out and capture those moments!
