Meet Collegiate DECA's 2025-2026 Executive Officer Candidates

As the leading student brand ambassadors, Collegiate DECA executive officers represent a network of over 5,000 members. They dedicate a year to serving Collegiate DECA during their term in office. Though demanding, this experience fosters both personal and professional growth.

The following candidates are running for executive office and hope to serve as the leaders of DECA’s Collegiate Division for the 2025-2026 school year.

DECA members attending the Collegiate International Career and Development Conference in San Francisco, CA, can attend the Meet the Candidate Session on Monday, April 7. All DECA members can meet the candidates and ask them questions about their platform. Drop-in anytime between 4:00-5:00 PM at the Mission Tunnel.

The new Executive Officer Team will be announced at the Grand Awards Ceremony of the 2025 Collegiate International Career Development Conference in San Francisco, CA.

Candidates for President

PB Branson

PB’s DECA journey began in high school, where they first competed and discovered their passion for business. Upon joining Collegiate DECA, they became deeply involved in growing the organization, eventually being elected as state president. Under their leadership, Missouri Collegiate DECA has thrived, experiencing significant membership growth and expanding opportunities for students across the state.  

While in DECA, PB has prioritized building relationships with employers and recruiters to connect members with valuable networking, mentorship, and career opportunities. Their dedication to professional development has strengthened Missouri Collegiate DECA’s ties to industry, preparing students to succeed beyond competition. PB has proved successful as a competitor, including placing 2nd in Business Ethics at ICDC in 2024.

Beyond DECA, PB is passionate about creative problem-solving while challenging conventional methods. Their strategic mindset drives them to explore innovative solutions in business and competition. Whether developing new initiatives for DECA, refining competitive strategies, or engaging with professionals, PB fosters growth and opportunity for Collegiate DECA members.

Peighton Harak

Peighton Harak is completing her 5th year in DECA and her 1st year in Collegiate DECA. She attends Oklahoma State University, where she is double majoring in Spanish and Hospitality and Tourism Management. Her passion is shown through her hard work and dedication to everything she does. She loves hearing others’ stories and learning from them because everyone’s story shapes the organization.

As the Collegiate Division President, Peighton will offer her skills and knowledge to help grow the division in connection by increasing communication between members and size by encouraging growth through new associations. She has experience restarting the Oklahoma State University chapter, so she can offer insights on what the process may entail to new members and chapters. She also has experience in leadership roles, having served as the Oklahoma High School DECA Vice President of Career Development and the Oklahoma Collegiate DECA Vice President.

Additionally, Peighton works part-time for HOSA, helping other Career and Technical Student Organization members get hands-on experience for their careers.

Shrey Patel

Shrey Patel is a dedicated DECA member who is passionate about empowering future leaders and entrepreneurs. His DECA journey began in high school as a four-time ICDC qualifier and several leadership roles, including Iowa DECA President. Shrey’s leadership was instrumental in expanding DECA’s impact in Iowa through initiatives to unify chapters, build business partnerships, and lead state and district conferences.

At Rice University, Shrey’s commitment to DECA deepened. He founded the Rice DECA chapter, quickly assembling a leadership team and recruiting over 40 members. Under his leadership, members excelled at the Texas State Career Development Conference, with all placing in the top three. Shrey was a finalist at ICDC and earned a top-three finish in human resources management, receiving the prestigious DECA Glass trophy.

Shrey’s impact at Rice extends beyond competition. As Texas Collegiate DECA President, he contributed to the growth of DECA in the region by fostering collaboration and expanding opportunities for new students. Shrey’s vision is to build on these successes, ensuring DECA continues to provide meaningful experiences while strengthening its legacy.

Tucker West

Tucker West is the 2024-2025 Oklahoma Collegiate DECA State President. His DECA journey began at High Plains Technology Center, where he quickly recognized DECA's transformative impact. Competing in events and taking on leadership roles, he developed a deep appreciation for the organization.

Continuing his involvement, Tucker joined Collegiate DECA and was elected Chapter President. Passionate about expanding Collegiate DECA in Oklahoma, he focuses on increasing engagement and fostering an environment for professional growth. With support from his advisor, Mrs. McDowell, he pursued state office to create connections, provide development opportunities, and empower members.

Beyond DECA, Tucker is actively involved in his community, participating in church activities, volunteering, and supporting meaningful causes. He values time with family and friends and continually seeks leadership growth. His dedication to service and leadership inspires those around him, impacting Oklahoma Collegiate DECA.
