The New Collegiate DECA Chapter Map

Oct 1, 2024

The Map is Back!

As the Collegiate DECA community grows this year, your executive officer team has been working closely with DECA Inc. staff to create new, or in this case, reactivated, resources to market to all collegiate chapters. While many chapters have their own websites, social media pages or connection points for incoming members, we wanted to find a more centralized way for new members to see these active campuses.

We are excited to announce the return of a resource many of us have been missing—the Collegiate DECA Active Chapter Map! With the rollout of DECA's updated website, the active collegiate chapter map was unavailable; it has once again returned to provide our chapters with a beginner's platform to connect with incoming Collegiate freshmen and beyond. Each chapter that is currently active for the 2024-2025 membership year will have its campuses pinned onto the global map for all to see.

In addition, if you are participating in our Founders Forum this year and are in the process of starting a chapter on your campus, no worries! Once you have submitted your application and your chapter has been approved, your chapter will populate, as the map will be updated frequently throughout the membership year. As more campuses are added, you will see the wide variety of colleges and states represented in our division.

How to Tutorial

Using the map is simple. Head to https://www.deca.org/collegiate and scroll down toward the bottom of the web page. You’ll see the map integrated right onto our site. Use the search function to search by address, zip code or college campus name. In addition, you can use the radius bar to search for colleges near your home. Clicking on a college name will automatically give you the chapter’s address and zoom in to show its location.

Community Building

Utilize the map to learn more about the Collegiate DECA chapters in your area. This will allow our chapters to create better connections, strengthening our division. Use the map to find chapters to hold mock competitions with or even find ways to team up and raise money for a good cause. Now, with a map of all chapters, we can continue to break down barriers and build towards a more unified division.

Connections With the High School Division

When it comes to Collegiate DECA recruitment, the map will allow our campuses to show off their inclusion in a community of talented and professional members from around the globe. This is also a great way to connect with seniors from our high school division, giving them many options on locations to stay involved in DECA. When high school seniors are choosing schools, there is a fast-growing community of them who want to continue their DECA journey. This map is just one way we can help them make that decision!
