When it comes to the world of business, attending networking events is a valuable part of it. It allows individuals to connect and work with fellow business professionals and leads to possible collaborations in the end. In late August, Walhalla DECA’s officer team had the chance to do just that, putting their communication and leadership skills up to the test.
Walhalla’s officers attended Business After Hours, a networking event where they met and communicated with local business professionals around the county. Attending the event helped them gain recognition and further insights into what DECA truly was while showcasing the officers’ dedication and commitment. With their passionate engagement and professionalism, the student officers established connections with fellow business professionals to help recruit judges who expressed interest and support. The event’s success not only left a lasting impression on these students but also helped ensure these local businesses the positive future that the business industry will have.
After the event, members left feeling confident and proud of their accomplishments. Having recruited more than enough possible judges and broadening their horizons, catching a glimpse of what will be in store for them in the future, the event’s success reinforced the passion the WHS DECA Officer team has, fostering the growth of young business leaders in their community.
