As you prepare for an unforgettable experience at DECA’s Western Region Leadership Conference (WRLC) this November in Bellevue, Washington, you’re headed for a premier DECA event and landing in one of the most vibrant cities in the Pacific Northwest.
Whether you have a few hours between industry workshops and competitions or have a full day to explore, Bellevue and Seattle have plenty to offer. From stunning parks to shopping, dining and culture, here’s a guide to making the most of your time during this conference.
Explore Bellevue
Bellevue offers a variety of activities and places to see while traveling. From the Funko HQ to the Federal Reserve, there are plenty of walkable businesses for you to visit. Work alongside your DECA friends to get out of an escape room or soar through the Maple and Douglas Fir Forest on a zipline course. If you’re looking to explore beyond downtown, Bellevue is also home to the Boeing factory, and Snoqualmie Falls, offering additional unique options for adventure.
Explore Seattle
Take a 20-minute drive to the heart of Washington and witness stunning views from Seattle’s Space Needle or add your piece to the iconic Seattle gum wall. Members can also take a tour of the University of Washington or wander through The Spheres at Amazon HQ. Members looking for a thrill can visit Wings over Washington or the Seattle Aquarium.
Those who like casual activities can walk through the Museum of Pop Culture, the Seattle Pinball Museum or the Museum of Flight.
With less than 40 days until the conference, prepare to Be the One in Bellevue and get ready to make WRLC 2024 one of your best DECA experiences yet!
