Outside of competition, academies and pin trading, another way to spend time in the OCCC is by visiting the ICDC Exhibit Hall. You can interact with many colleges, employers and vendors to see where the future may take you.
Prepare for College and Careers
The various booths are a great way to see where your future will take you. Many colleges will attend to speak about their programs, so learn more about the campus, majors and minors, extracurriculars, and if they have what interests you. For careers, speak with our National Advisory Board partners and industry professionals to see where you may be working in the next few years and what you can do to get started.
Take it Home
One way you can maximize the opportunity for your community is by gathering information for your chapter and its members who are not in attendance. If you want to improve or start a School-based Enterprise, speak to the many vendors there to support and provide for your store. Create a list of questions for chapter members in the hall, pick up a pamphlet to bring home for interested members, and ask how they are involved in your local community.
Create a List
All our exhibitors are amazing, and we would love to have you visit everyone. However, look ahead in your schedule and prioritize the ones that are most important to you. Come prepared with a few questions, then walk around and check out an exhibitor you may not have heard of.
Remember that exhibitors will come to speak to you most of all, so don’t be afraid to talk and ask questions!
A complete list of exhibitors will be available in the ICDC conference program and app (coming soon).
